In September we began grading and seeding tile trench backfill, we leveled
off the backfill with a dozer blade, followed by fine grading and preparation
for seeding with landscape rake. We used a broadcast technique to
distribute cool season grass mixture with a 4 wheeler and then used a harrow to
lightly cover the seed. Mowing was delayed until after July
15th to avoid disturbing wildlife nesting. During the fall we mowed the dikes to
allow new seeding a greater chance of success.

The Bobcat Toolcat was used for all of the grading, seeding, and mowing.
The unique capability of the Bobcat Toolcat to move along the dike with the
wheels crabbed made the mowing more effient and safer.
